RICHARD YATES

Richard Yates, President of Zydeco

Mr. Yates is a licensed architect with over thirty years in the construction industry. Richard Yates brings decades of experience in design and real estate development. He has designed and directed the construction of private residences, hotels, medical facilities, multifamily projects, offices, and retail stores. As a principal in Zydeco, he has participated in numerous commercial projects, each driven not only by their economic strengths but also by their aesthetics. With Mr. Yates’s integrated approach to development, he is able to quickly assess the intrinsic value of a property and rate its potential for highest and best use.

RICHARD HEFLER

General Manager,

Since 2006, Richard has been the general manager of Zydeco. A licensed real estate broker, Richard handles all conceptualization, proformas, and business models, as well as negotiations with investors and legal advisors. Before joining Zydeco, Richard  was the Executive Vice President and Owner of General Tours Inc. in Keene, New Hampshire. Richard also served as the Director of North America, Victorian Tourism Commission of Australia in Los Angeles and was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for INTRAV and Clipper Cruise Lines in St. Louis, MO.

BEVERLEY LANG

Property Manager

Beverley comes to Zydeco with 25 years experience in the property development field, both here in the USA and in New Zealand. She has lived in Santa Fe for the past 10 years where she worked for a construction company and a real estate development company before joining Zydeco in 2007. Beverley is a licensed real estate broker with a broad range of expertise including accounting, office management, desktop publishing and computer technology.

JOY BARR

Project Manager

Zydeco is delighted that Joy joined our team to help develop the Hotel Artesia project and the rehabilitation of Zona Rosa in Santa Fe. She brings over 30 years experience in the hotel industry in management, sales and catering. For the past 10 years, Joy managed the well known Fechin Inn in Taos. Her honors include Hospitality Person of the Year in 2000, recognition from the New Mexico Secretary of State in 2000, Honorary Ambassador of Taos in 2001, White House Communication Agency in 2003 and an honor for Customer Service & Tourism from the Town of Taos. Joy is currently a board member of the Lodgers Tax Advisory Board, Destination Taos, and Taos County Lodgers Association amongst many other organizations both past and present.

DREW MCDERMOTT

Project Manager and Architect

Drew McDermott is a native Santa Fean with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and a Masters Degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology. After completing his education he worked with several large Architectural and Engineering firms in Chicago and Albuquerque. He then returned his home town to start an Architectural firm where he began working on projects for Zydeco.

Drew then made natural transition to Project Manager and Architect for Zydeco. Having worked as a production manager for Zydeco previously, he brings a clear understanding of Zydeco's vision -- and adds extensive experience in design, construction and technology. Drew is currently the Project Manager for Yates Farm Project and Owner's Rep for the Quay Apartments Project -- both in Artesia.

CHRISTOPHER CAMPBELL

Project Manager

Christopher Campbell currently serves as a project manager on the Zona Rosa Renovation Project. Innovative and ambitious, Chris brings his development expertise to our Zydeo projects. Before joining Zydeco in 2006, Chris served as a Western Regional Manager and Operations Manager for Biosystems, LLC; OEM Account Executive for ATTO Technology; and Product manager for Adaptec Inc.

TINA RIVERA

Administrative Executive

A competent and able executive, Tina’s experience as a legal assistant for a private law practice in Santa Fe and as Journal Clerk for the New Mexico State Senate has proved invaluable to Zydeco. A licensed Real Estate Agent, Tina takes care of Zydeco’s many and varied property and real estate requirements with flair and ease.

 

CHARMAINE MEDRANO

Administrative Assistant

Charmaine has been with Zydeco since 2005. She is responsible for all front office duties; as well as bookkeeping and a diverse multitude of other office duties. With exceptional interpersonal skills Charmaine handles all the requests of the Zydeco staff. Prior to Zydeco, Charmaine worked as a Reservationist for All Santa Fe Reservations as well as an attorney assistant for Clark Grubesic and Jones.
